My Happy Bags

I have a new addition to my Happy Bag collection.
I just love bags, my SIL Debb makes beautiful quilts and one day she made a bag to carry some of her quilting stuff in.  Well I fell in love with her bag.  I will post a picture of her bags at a later date.  When my birthday came around she gave me this bag and it was the start of it all.  Debb called it a Happy Bag because it makes you smile when you see it.  I love sunflowers, so the sunflower material was perfect for me.  It has pockets on the outside and pockets on the inside too, it holds my CMTH paper packs perfectly and there is plenty of room for my embellishments too.
This is Happy Bag #1

For Christmas I got Happy Bag #2
She traveled all over France with me and was pictured in Monet's Garden, Normandy,  Amboise, Musee d'Orsay, on the top of the Eiffel Tower, and all around Paris.  I got lots of comments about how beautiful she was.  It was a great conversation starter.
So here she is Happy Bag #2

Last night when my Husband came home from Bocce Ball he said "Here Debb said you would know what this was for"  I thought I would scream.  My Happy Bag #3 it holds my Cricut E. it stay open so I can load my E easily.  It has 2 large pockets that can hold all my accessories.  This is so cool.  I can't believe she made me one.  I love it.
Here is Happy Bag #3

I can't tell you how much I love these bags.  If you see this Debb Thanks I love, love, love it.  I already have an embellishment in mind with a new technique that I saw.   I will post that later.

Tea Light and Art Philosophy

I thought that I would share this today.  It is a 0 calorie tiny cake inspired by the Birthday Pop at Starbucks.  Every time I see it that is excatly what I think of.  I just love making these. They make me smile.
I used one of the Flowers on the Art Philosophy Cartridge as well as 2 different scallop circles on the cartridge too.  I used the 1 1/4" Circle punch in the center of the 2" scallop on the bottom to give you access to the battery and the on/off switch.  Or if you have a Gypsy you can design it with the circle in the center.
I am not near my Cricut to give you all the detail so I will post that soon.  But here is the picture and the products used.
All products are CMTH
Ribbon is from the Pink Collection Z1384

Art Phlosophy meets Cherry -O for Mojo Monday #203

Here is the card I made for my first Mojo Monday Challenge # 203.  It is also a sneak peek at one of the cards for Card Class.  Aug 23rd at 6:30.

I used the New Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the coordinating Stamp Set Hooray Bouquet.  I have want to use it ever since I saw it at Convention.  Now I know why!  I had fun making this card start to finish and it didn't take me long either.  What makes this stamp set so different is that it has a coordinating image that you can cut from the AP cartridge and then stamp on top and it matches. The carrier sheet that has the stamps on it also has the sizes that you need to cut it out at.  Easy enough!!
Here is what I used
The paper pack is Cherry -O  because I am consuming the products not collecting them.
All the cuts are the ones that are on the stamp set.
The leaf - Sweet Leaf C/S is is from page 59 Shift> <leaf4>
The flowers- Blush, Baby Pink, White C/S is from page29 Shift> <flower6>
The center of the flower I stamped and cut out by hand.  Sunny Yellow
The border- Cranberry C/S is from page 64  Font> <Arrow2> cut at 1/2" and I welded 3 of them together with my Gypsy
Stamp Set- Hooray Bouquet D1419
Ribbon- Sweet Leaf
Inks-
Olive
Tulip
Smoothie
Blush
Sunflower
OutDoor Denim

How- to For the 3D Flowers on Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Here is a quick tutorial on how to make the cute 3D flowers from our New Art Philosophy Cartridge.  This one is from page 69 and uses the Shift> Font>  <heart3>,  cut @ 4",  pressure 4>, blade 3>, speed 3.

Start at the small outside end.  Use your CMTH tweezers and roll it around the end of the tweezers.  Keeping it tight while you roll.
Keep going all the way around the flower untill you get to the center.  Keep it tight.
Stop rolling when you get to here.
Place a dab of Liquid Glass or use a glue dot in the center of the round part.
At this point you can release the tweezers and let the rose open up some.  The way it looks good to you.
Holding the rose in your hand push it into the glue dot.  This will hold it in place.
That is it!  You can bend the petals too to give it more shape but it is very easy to do.  Add a couple of green leaves from page 67 and it will be complete.  Check back tomorrow I will have a project using this flower and the muffin box.  See you then.
As you can tell I get lots of use out of my mats.
Hope this helps.  Let me know what you think.

Make you own Embossing Folders with The Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Did you know that you can make your own Embossing Folders with your Art Philosophy Cartridge, your Cricut, and some cereal boxes?
Well you can.  I save my cardboard boxes and cut them into square pieces that will fit on my Cricut Mat.
Here are a couple.
I put the shiny side up on the mat to make the cuts.  Now you can really coordinate your projects.  Not only with the stamps and the cuts.  But embossing too.
Here is some of the impressions that it makes.  I could not make it show up very well.
Just some of the things you can do with your new cartridge and some cardboard..
Let me know what you make.
