Flower Pot Card

I know these have been around for a long time and there are lots of different styles.  But it has been raining and grey for a while around here so I decided I needed some flowers in my life.  So here is my version on the Flower Pot pull out card.

Here it is with the pull out.  I know you have all seen these but just in case.
These are great for a money holder, gift card, or just a note to someone special.  We made these in class this month and everyone seemed to have fun with it.  I made my first one in a class I was taking back in 2008 and it was made using all punches and it was so cute.  I don't have a picture of it to show you.  But with the Cricut you now can make them any size you want.  You are not limited by the size of the punch or the die.

All products are CTMH unless otherwise noted:
Flower Pot is cut with the Walk in my Garden Cricut Cartridge.
Flowers and leaves are cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.
Cardstock:  Sunset, Petal, Gypsy, Sunny Yellow, Tulip, Garden green, and Sunflower.
Inks:  Tulip, Autumn Terracotta.
Corner rounder.
Stamp Set is one of the three stamp sets that comes with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Tea Bag Holder

I was playing around this morning and created a box to hold my Tea bags.  I love Tea so this was a fun project to do.  The box is a simple one.
I was playing around with my Imagine and printed and cut out some things to go on the box too.  The Title shape is one that is loaded on the Imagine cut at 1.5".  The scallop square is also a shape on the Imagine cut at 3.5".  Both were printed with paper from Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge.  The scallop edge is printed and cut from L's G too.  The Tea cup is cut and printed using the Yummy Imagine cartridge.
Paper pack is Sweetheart from CTMH.
Cardstock is Gypsy from CTMH.
Ink:  Gypsy
Ribbon is from my stash.
Stamp Set is Tea Time C1438, CTMH
Imaging, Lori's Garden, Yummy-  Cricut

What a great gift the would make.  I will be making more of them soon.
Maybe I will make a bigger one for Hot Chocolate, Soups, hummmmm!  The wheels are turning now.

My Originals Sweet Surprises Card Kits

Watch this video to see a cute treat holder and gift box envelope.  This is a great one for any age.  The kids would have a great time making these as well as getting them too.
Just fill the treat cup with the treat of your choice or goodies of any kind.  Like colorful candies or buttons for the crafter.
If you would like these you can order them now and have them in time to make and send out for Easter.  Or make as a Thank you for coming to your Easter Party.  Place them in a basket for your guest to take as they leave.
They would make a great Thank You for a hostess gift too.  Just give this to the hostess as you enter the party with your gift basket for a nice surprise.
Order yours here.
They make a great gift to give to the card maker in the family too.  I would love to see what you come up with.

Card Swap Club for March

This months Card Swap was fun.  What a great bunch of Ladies.  Jeannine was our host and she hit a home run with her table of drink and she made Cake Pops that were dipped in green chocolate and sprinkles for St. Patty's Day.  Jeannine made us each a treat bag with candy, so cute that had a St. Patrick's day theme too.  Everyone was oohing and awing.  Jeannine also had a make and take which was a note pad holder.  Everything was cut and scored for us to put together.  The hardest part was choosing which of the sets to use.  They were all so cute.
Here is the Make and Take and our Treat bag with Green kisses inside yummmmm!!

All the cards were so great our theme for this month was Easter.  Some have been doing cards for years and some are just starting out.  But they were all great.
So here they are:

Lani, Lori,
Jodie, Kathy,
Jeannine, Debb, Judy,
Gayle, Michele

We also got to meet her new Grandson.  What a handsome 4 month old baby boy he is.

My Grand Daughters First Birthday Balloon Wreath

I have seen several of the Balloon Wreaths on Pinterest so here is my version of it.
I just love these wreaths.  I used a 14" straw wreath, it just happened to be the last one at my local  Michael's (lucky me).  I use floral push pins and 5 large packages of multi color Balloons at the $1 store.  The Bow and ribbons also are from the $1. store too.  I can't wait to make more of these in different styles.  The wheels are turning!!!!!
It took around 275 balloons and about 3 hours to cover the wreath.  You wouldn't think it took that long but it did.  Just filling in all the spot and mixing all the colors.  Or maybe I am just that slow anyway it was fun.
Let me know if you want a tutorial on how to make this?

My Grand Daugherts First Birthday Door Display

I also made a door display of Minnie Mouse from Mickey and Friends. I used my 12 x 24 mat and cut it at Fit To Page. I got 2 sheets of black poster board from the $1 store for (wait for it) a $1.00 and cut it to fit the my mat.

It ended up about 18" tall.  I then added all the layered pieces to the 12 x 24 with all the different papers and cut them all out at once.  I love my Gypsy for that too. You can see exactly where to put the different papers at.  That saved a lot of time.   I did not even do any doodling or extra sponging.  I never do that...... It was a last minute thought and minutes away from party time.   But it was cute anyway.

My Grand Daughters First Birthday Banner

I had so much fun making the banner, door display, and a balloon wreath for my granddaughters First Birthday.
Here is the Banner or at least part of it.  I cut the Minnie Mouse heads with my Cricut using the Mickey and Friends cartridge.  Everything else is cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  All the paper is Close To My Heart.   The ribbong is from my stach.  The 1 is popped up on a spring so it moves when it is touched.  I used the half scallop circle and a rossette with the spring on top of that.

I did doodle on the Minnie Mouse head and Bow with white dots and I water brushed the detail on the Minnie Mouse Bow too.

Card Class Card #2

Here is another card we made in my last class.  It uses the ready made Colonial White die cut cards and envelopes.
I couldn't wait to use the Just Chillin' stamp set along with the Footloose paper pack.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut the shape for the top part and a new Color Ready Accent wooden shapes for the closure part.  I colored the center of the flower with Sunflower ink and topped it with Liquid Glass and attached it with a glue dot Mini.
Let me know if you would like to join us.   Check out my class schedule on the page header above.
The umbrella was stamped in lagoon on the card and then the top of the umbrella was stamped again on White Daisy and cut out.  It is popped up with 3D foam tape and placed over the top of the stamped image.
I cut the coordinating shape from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and then cut that in half so it just fit on the front of the card.  Very Easy!

All products are Close To My Heart:

Paper Pack:  Footloose X7151B

Card Class

Here is a quick and easy card that was in the Idea Book on page 80.  If you don't have an Idea Book you can see it here just go to page 80.  The card itself is cut out with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  It is the Square Scallop Card
I also used the color ready seam binding ribbon.  I just love this ribbon because you can change it to any color that you want and it is so easy to do.  If you want to know how just let me know and I will add a tutorial.
This stamp is a great way to make multiple cards and only use one stamp.  I used a diaper wipe with my re-inkers in lots of different colors.

The ribbon on the card on the left is done with one drop of Twilight ink mixed with water in a craft jar.  The ribbon on the card on the right is done on the Twilight ink pad.  This ribbon has to be my new favorite thing and at only $6.95 for 10 yards it's a great deal. I will do a tutorial on different way to use and color this ribbon. Order yours here
