Valentine Mailbox 2

Here is another one that I missed getting published on my blog.  Oh well better late than never
Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...These Mailboxes are so cute and the best part is it holds a box for goodies inside.  I just did them the way the Cricut has them but I have some cute ideas for some decorations. I better get busy because Valentines is just a couple of days away.  I just thought I would show them to you just in case you were look for something just like this.  I cut them from Valentines 3D Mailbox cartridge.  I must say it took be awhile to figure out how to put it together.  If you are having trouble just search it on youtube.

I used La Vie En Rose paper pack.  It is the flower one.  The middle box is more manly and is called Urban.  The end one is using a plain cardstock Cotton Candy.  I made several 3x3 cards from the  Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge to go in them.

Valentine Cards with CTMH

Just noticed that this was in my Draft folder.  I really liked how this card turned out.  So I am sharing it now.

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here are some of the cards I made  to get ready for Valentine's Day.  I used the Stamp of the Month for January 2015 which was Beloved Bouquet S1601.  I must say that this was one of my all time favorite.  Roses are my so beautiful and delicate.  Who doesn't like them.
I love to do Black and White and when I saw the Rose I knew I would try it in Black and White.

I also did them in several different colors too.  My favorite Rose is called Gingersnap.  I grew Rose Trees and Rose Bushes all along our Retaining wall in front of our house.  Between the heavy winds coming down the canyon and the Deer and our neighbors cows getting out I only had them for a few years.  They were to expensive to replace so I grow rosemary now in the same spots! Wow did I get off track or what?  That is just how my life has gone since my Mom passed away.  I can't stay focused or on track.  I am doing better but not over it yet obviously.

Back on track, what do you think?  Black and White or color? The sentiment was done in Black and Poppy on the Black and White.  The color one is stamped in Pomegranate?

On the one's I did for my SWAP I used Pomegranate on them all.  I really like the pomegranate the best.

Making Signs

During the winter when the Driftwood floats up on the shore at the lake I try to collect it and keep pieces that have some character to them. This piece came floating up and already had greyish blue paint on it. They were going to throw it out but luckily I saw it . I knew I wanted to make a sign with it but wasn't sure what to put on it. I was at the store local hardware store and saw one similar and I knew I wanted to put relax you're on Lake time on it. Since it already had the grayish blue paint. I thought I would just keep that and use the red paint that I had for the top part. I cut out all words using black vinyl on my Cricut Explore. Weeding all the little pieces off is the time-consuming part and then I adhered the vinyl to the wood.  Then I put the red paint on top making it look distressed. After the paint dries I pull up all the vinyl  to reveal the background color.  I think it turned out pretty good don't you? When were out in the boat now, we look on the shoreline to see if we can find any more driftwood that would work for signs. We have found quite a bit I guess it helps keep it out of the landfill so it's a good thing.

Operation Smile for January

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...When you purchase the fun stamp set Animal Greetings D1679 for $17.95 Close To My Heart will donate $7.00 to Operation Smile.  It is a two- fer.  You get a great stamp set and Operation Smile gets to help out more kids in need.

Here is a card I made with Animal Greetings D1679.  Not a very good photo but the little pig is stamped randomly in sorbet and the Champagne cardstock then I cut strips from one of the papers from the Charlotte paper pack and the zip strip is from the same paper.   This is a great use for scraps too.  I cut out 2 circles from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and popped them both up with 3-D Foam tape and place it all on a Daisy White Card.

Did you notice how in the picture of the stamp set the sayings are straight.  Did you know the you can bend them to the shape you want (most of the shapes) Take a look at this video and see how it is done!

You can find our more about Operation Smile here

Father's Day Card

Making Father's Day cards is always a bit challenging don't you think?  But the other day my friend Tess called and needed to make a couple.  This is what we came up with.  I have used this stamp before and I really like it.  I picked out some paper and she liked the bees so we went with that.  The bees and the stamp set and the ribbon are all discontinued now and have been for awhile.  Sorry about that but using up my stash is a very good thing.

On the inside is the M1134 Happy Father's Day and that is a stamp that you can still get. These single stamps are just $2.95 plus tax and shipping.
You can see the other Father's Day Cards Here

Last Day of School Door Decoration

Friday was the last day of school so Jenn always makes something special.  Jenn wanted to make a ruler wreath so this is what we came up with.  Mrs. Osterkamp is now a 4th grade teacher but my Grandson also had her for his Kindergarten teacher.  The wreath we made before stayed with Mrs. Davis in the Kindergarten class so now Mrs. Osterkamp will have one of her very own.
You can see Mrs. Davis's wreath here

I know that she will enjoy this for years to come.
The rulers were cut in half
The pennants and the tag were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge
Paper is the Happy Times Paper pack and Fundamentals Paper pack
All the embellishments were CTMH.

You can check out all the other wreath that I have made here
