Prickly Pear Folio
Just made another cute Folio form Country Craft Creations. I used the Prickly Pear Workshop Your Way G1128 to make it and used the Prickly Pear Complements X7221c that come in the pack and Prickly Pear Sequins Z3324 to decorate the Folio.
I can't believe how versatile this pack is. I love all the colors that it has. You can use the more muted colors or the vibrant ones for different looks. I just used them all and I love how it turned out.
It starts out with a 6" x10" piece of cardstock. I choose Poppy then you score at 3 1/2, 4, 7 1/2, 8.
Cut your mats at 3 3/8 x 5 7/8 and 1 7/8 x 5 7/8. I used the zip strips that I cut off of the paper to trim the spines inside and out. I corner rounded the outside edges. You will need to trim them down 3/8 x 5 7/8
I used magnets for the closure. I used the small ones
The pockets are 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and scored at 1/4" on 3 sides. You might have to play with this a bit to make it work. The mat is 1 7/8 x 2 1/8. The bookmark that goes inside is 1 5/8 x 5 1/2.
The center pocket is 4 3/8 x 3 1/2 score at 1/2" on 3 side. The mat is 3 1/4 x 2 7/8
The pages are 7 x 5 3/4 you will need 5 of them scored at 3 1/2
You will need to cut 5 tags at 3 x 5
I used Paradise Assortment Bakers Twine from my stash. The colors when perfect with papers. It has 4 different colors so I used them all and one of them twice. You can see what I used here.
I lined up the folded edge to the eyelet and marked them both. I then poked a hole for the Bakers Twine
I made a pocket for the inside of the cover, punched it with the scallop punch and glued the 3 sides down to the cover. I glued a couple of the pages together at the bottom only. Folded over the top corner and inserted one of the tags.
Here you can see the each page in held in with the bakers twine. You will pull all 5 of the twine through the eyelets. Then tie the on the out side of folio
I use the cut apart page of the paper pack for embellishing my pockets and on for the front closure.
It was fun to decorate.
***Note to self: If I make another one I will use 3 sets of the small magnets on the closure instead of just one.

Sugar Rush Folio Cookbook
Boy I am really behind in my posting. So I better get with it and show you this one. This is one of the tutorials that Tammy over at Country Craft Creations did. I just had to make one and I love it. It is still not done. Do they ever really get done or just done enough? LOL!
It measures when it is open 29" x 9" closed it is 7 1/4 x 9 and is 1 1/2" thick. It has lots of places for 4x6 recipe cards and that is the way I wanted it.
I used the Compliments pack with it as well through out the entire book. I really liked how it brought it all together.
This is the back and I used one of the stickers so I could write on it who it is for and made with love by me. I do that on all my books that I make.
When you open it you will notice that it is held closed with magnets. I just love the magnets. Down the center are page holders. My CTMH 4x6 memory protectors are inside load and for this I will need top load ones. So I needed to order them and I haven't gotten them yet. This will hold 5 pages in the center for holding you recipe cards.
On the left inside you will find 2 pocket that will hold a lot of recipes too. I placed some Journaling cards that we sell and I though this was a great place to put them in. You can put photos on them or write on them whatever you want.
I also have 2 booklets in the bottom pocket that you can use too. I used the cut apart pocket cards that come with this paper pack. I made tags and booklets with them. I also used one for the pocket. You can see it with the hooray on it. I just taped down 2 sides.
You can see the little magnetic closure that I made to hold the next part closed. I was very happy with how it turned out.
When you open the magnetic closure you will find side pockets and inside the pockets are file folders. What! The file folders are decorated inside and out. I had fun making these and I see more of them in the future.
You can fill them with recipes and photos and notes too!
Then you have pockets that hold more booklets.
The booklets all pull out so can use them easily and then put them back when you are done.
On the back of the pockets with the booklets are places to tuck more cards in.
There is one more pocket that has another file folder in. I think these are just the cutest!
Yep it is decorated front, back and inside too! Lot's of places to put your recipes.
You can put more photos on them or just attach your recipes to them.
I put more tuck spots in the back. That way things do not fall out. These are more of those journaling cards.
Here I took everything out of the pockets on the front opening of the folio. As you can see it will hold a lot.
I only have 1 of the 4x6 memory protectors because I don't have the top load ones yet. On the back page it an accordion Pocket. I put a magnet closure for this pocket too and a tuck spot to hold more cards here too.
You can see the pocket open here and it will hold a lot. I used on of my stamp pads just to show you how easy it was to put a lot of stuff in it. Wow that is a lot of pictures I took to show this to you. I hope you are still with me. I will do a video when I get the memory protectors in so you can see it it action.
Everything I used was CTMH. I made the folio with Cocoa cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by.

Graphic 45 Mon Amour
Here is a Fancy Fold card that I made today with the Graphic 45 Mon Amour paper collection.
I love these fancy folds. They are as much fun to make and give as they are to receive. I can't wait to give this one away.
Here is is closed up and it will fit into a 5x7 envelope. I had to hold it closed with paper clips for the photo. It is pretty chunky with pockets, envelope, booklet and chipboard elements that make it had close flat and stay that way. So that means more postage but it is worth it.
Here is is open all the way and you can see all the elements that i made. What do you think so far?
I don't have one handy but it will hold and post-it-note stack and that is what I would do if I was keeping it for myself. Hmmm! For myself. I might have to think about that one. LOL
I used CTMH Colonial White paper for the base. 5x12 and then 5x2 attached together. The open card measures 5x13 over all
You score at 3", 6", 9" you slice down the center from the 3" to the 9" at 2.5" Then decorate your heart out. That is the fun part. I would love to see what you make.
I used all the leftover pieces from a Mini Album that I made with this collection. I will do a video on that later.
Thanks for stopping by.
