Stamp Set Organizing and Storage

One of the things I love the most about Close To My Heart is the My Acrylic Stamp Sets.  They are clear, pliable, and not hard.  They come in a slim plastic carrier that is easy to store and does not take up much room.  We also carry this My Acrylix Organizer for $12.95 #Z1038 that holds 15 stamp sets.
I use this when I travel too.  I can put all the stamps I need for a class that I am teaching or when I travel.
Since I have so many now here is the way I store mine.  I found these baskets at IKEA for $6.00 each.  They fit the stamps sets perfectly.  Each basket holds a different color.  I arrange them by Color first then by Letter and then by number.  This makes it very easy to find the one I need.  More to come on my Stamp Binder!!!
So here is one of the baskets with the stamp sets in it and did I mention that I can get at least 50 stamp sets in each basket.  Oh yes I can!
As you can see below I offset every other one.  This makes it easy to go through the sets when I am looking for a specific one.  It also makes it easy to see where they go when you put them back. Having all the like colors together is handy too.
Below is how I have them all arranged in my scrap room on the shelves.  Each basket has a color square on the front to let you find that color set, fast.  Well! I guess you already noticed that some have two baskets for a color.  I know! I know!  really do you need that many.  Just remember that I have been using CMTH products for a long time.  Since 1995 and I love them just as much today as I did when I started.  If only I had signed up to be an Independent Consultant then........ If you would like to know more about becoming a consultant too and join my team just let me know.  I will be happy to help you.
I hope this helps with an idea about storing CMTH stamp set.  I don't think you can do this with any other stamp sets, from any other company out there. All my Customers have a great time looking through my binder for just the right stamp they want to use.  I photo copy each set, label it with the name on the stamp set, the number, and the color then place it in my binder.  Check back often to find out more about my binder.  You will love that one too.  Better yet become a follower so you don't miss out.                  How do you store your CMTH stamp sets?  Let me know.

Decorate your Flash Drive

Not to long ago my friend Adrienne made me a Flash Drive of all our pictures we took in France.  Between the 3 of us we had over 3,000 pictures and of course we each wanted all the pictures. So she put them all together on 3 Flash Drives one for each of us.  Adrienne decorated them so we could tell them apart and easily know which flash drive was our France pictures.  So here is the one she did for me. I love it.  What a great idea....
My Daughter has had her first child and my 3rd grandchild so I have put all the pictures that I have taken on a Flash Drive for her so that we can keep them all together too. So this is the one I have done for her. I hope she likes it.  They are fun to make.  Can you tell her favorite color is purple.
Thanks Adrienne for the idea.  I can see a lot of these in my future.  It is a great way to use up the oneies that you have too.
I hope she likes it. They can be customised for each person or theme very easily.  This would make a great gift too. Let me know what you come up with....

Here are some Favor items for Weddings or Showers

I wanted to share some Wedding Favors and Shower Favors that my DIL and I have made.  The little purse is a candy holder,  The photo holder is a large binder clip.  The Tea Light holder is a box cut from the Wedding Solution Cricut Cartridge, The purse is printed and cut with my Cricut imagine and the Nursery Tails Cartridge.  I love doing Wedding invitations, Showers, Weddings, and  Baby Showers too. If you need help or ideas just contact me. The Milk Carton is a Sizzix Die Cut.

The Tea light is a battery Tea light.  They make a perfect light to put with the paper box.

This is what it looks like with the lights out.  Sorry the photo is blurry.  I will have to get out my tripod next time.  You can imagine these at every plate when you have dimmed all the lights.  It is very elegant looking with the flicker of the tea light.
The box is cut at 11.52 or fit to page.  The finished box ends up about 3" The tea light is covered with the CMTH scallop punch and pink Ric- rack.  I made little flowers and stamped the top scallop with a border stamp that I molded to fit in a circle on the top.  That is what is so cool about the CMTH clear acrylic stamp you can bend them to fit a shape that you need.  I do that all the time to form fit to my needs.  You cannot do that with any other stamps that I know of.  That is just one of the things that I love about Close To My Heart.  I will post more on these later too.

Flowers for fun

I love to make different kinds of Flowers.  Here is the latest one that I have made.  It is from the button flower that Connie Macfarlane made.  I have been having fun with her flower.  I will put one on hair clip for my granddaughter.  She will love it.  The other is will put on a project for my other granddaughters room a banner that I am working on.
I used the CMTH Sweetheart B&T paper.  I punched a 1 1/4" circle and used that as the base.  Then add a row at a time from the outside in.  It is very easy to do.  You can contact me or leave me a comment if you want to know more.

Hide and Seek

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.  We did with all the family, well most all the family.  We took all 3 grand kids to the lake for 6 days and we had a great time the 7 and 5 year old skied for the first time they were exhausted by the end of the day.  They played hide and go seek with all the cousins, a favorite of all kids I think.  Here is a picture of one of those hiding places shhhhhh don't tell anyone.

They played for a long time.  They were all asleep before the fireworks started each night.  Luckily we didn't have to drive anywhere to see  the fireworks. You can see 3 different ones on the lake from our deck.  It was a perfect weekend.  The weather was hot about 100 to 102 most of the time but that was perfect for playing in the cold water.

Have a safe 4th of July

Last weekend I got together with the ladies that I went to France with.  We crafted the entire weekend.  It was so much fun.  We started early in the morning and hardly stopped to eat.  We made lots of Cards and Layouts.  I think when all was said and done we produced 10- 2page layouts and 9 cards.  Girl time is great.  It was a cabin in the woods that was on the other side of the lake.  We filled up the bow of the boat with all  our stuff.  You could walk around the lake on a trail but with all the paraphernalia we had that would have taken the entire weekend just to get our stuff there.

Here are the cards
These are some that I made before.
