Shopping Spree

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Since I am a caregiver for my Mom who is going to be 95 this year.  I really don't get out much.  I have help come in when I am prepping for and holding my classes during the day.  The other day my DIL and I decided to go to Kirklands and check them out.  We had seen it, but had not had a chance to go it.  It is a home goods kind of store and I was like a kid in a candy store.

I found this little sandwich board and when I saw it I just flipped out.  What a cute welcome sign it would make for my classes.  Luckily I have plenty of sidewalk chalk that the Grand kids play with to write on my new sign.  It will greet my customers when they come to my classes.  Now I will need to learn how to do the chalkboard writing.

Pinwheel and Dream Pop

This is a card that I made with the  May Stamp of the Month Pinwheel S1305.  It made with the  Dream Pop paper pack too.  I have a 4th of July card coming from this too with the Pinwheel done from red and blue.  I will post that one soon. I colored the edges of the Pinwheel with our new exclusive inks markers that are alcohol based I used Pear Z2414 and Cotton Candy Z2417.  Once you try these new markers you will never go back.  I added some Sparkles and some Bakers Twine
My inspiration for this card came from the Dream Pop instructions guide.
The Pinwheel is cut out from the Artiste cartridge page 50 Accent 1.  The center is one of the button cuts from the Artiste page 42 Accent 2.
The Celebrate cut was from page 65 Accent 3
Sparkles Z1752

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here is a just a plain cut for the Cricut Artiste cartridge that I made the other day.  I just love how simple it is.
It fits a gift card perfectly.
You can see the 3 different cuts that I used to make this.
All the B&T paper is CTMH Pear & Partridge the Cardstock is Desert Sand p41 Card.  I really like how it all coordinates and I really don't have to worry about finding things that go together.
The little gold doily is a from a yard sale about 70 differernt kinds of them in a baggie for $1.00.  I love yard sales.  I got the this frame and 2 others there too for $1.00.  I had no idea what I was going to do with them but when I started making this gift card I knew it needed a little something extra.
The Belly band is the cut that goes with the Gift Card holder p41 Card/S.  "Well that is what I am calling it."  You can use it as a stand alone card or and gift tag too.
The Tree is from Art Philosophy p52 Tree2/S.
The Stamp Set, Ribbon, and Bling are from the Pear & Partridge Workshop on the Go G1043 you can see it here.
I stamped, and sponged around everything with New England Ivy.
I will be making more of these for sure.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Butterflies in my Life CTMH/ Artiste

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...With all the rain and storms coming this week I guess I just needed a few Butterflies in my life.  We are supposed to be getting 12" or so of rain this week and that is a lot for us.
Okay enough whining and on to my card.  I saw this on Pinterest and just had to make one.  I created it in my Gypsy by selecting the card shape and the the single shape itself.  If you want to see how just leave me a comment and I will make a video.  It is hard to explain but very easy to do.
You can see how the card was cut.  All products used are Close To My Heart.  I embossed the stamp A1120 Quick card Butterfly, you can see it here.  The branches and leaves were cut with the Art Philosophy and the Artiste cartridge along with the flowers and the butterfly.  I sponged with Sunset, Sky, and Twilight.  I use the Brown and Tan sparkles in the center of the flowers.
If you need to order anything just click on the Shop with Me button or here.

You can use the CCR to do this as well but I don't always have an internet conection so I rely more on my Gypsy.

Red, White, and Blue

I think that 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I love the colors, parade's, BBQ's and all the decorations to go along with it.  I was at a card class that a friend Mary had last month and we made a card like this for Father's Day with earth tones.  Mary does not have a blog or I would link up to it.  She is very talented and I have a great time going to her classes.  I used the concept for this card.  I taught it in my class as a Red, White, and Blue card.  With her permission of course.
What a great way to use up those little strips.  Now you know what to do with them too.
I used my Xyron to add sticky to a piece of Cranberry cardstock.  I cut it to the width that would just fit in my Xyron.  That is the easy way to make the whole piece sticky.
Then using strips of 1/4" and 1/2" wide any length will do.  You just start arranging them and cutting them to fit the way you like.  There is no wrong or right way, just your way.  They will all be different.
Next I backed it with a Black mat.  Cut a square and a mat and stamped it.  The card is a tri-fold and of course some Cranberry ribbon.

Cardstock:  Moonstruck, Black, Cranberry, Daisy White
Exclusive Inks:  Z2134 Moonstruck, Z2116 Cranberry
Stamp Set:  D1458 American Celebration
Paper Pack Superhero, and any leftovers from my stash that were red, white, or blue.  (It is so fun to use it all up)!!!!
Let me know what you do with your leftovers........

Card Swap April - Black and White

This month was Black and White cards.  It was fun but a challenge.  I was in aw with what the ladies came up with.  Laurie was our host and she set a beautiful table complete with black and white place mats that she made from poster board and punches.  Laurie also made clear plastic baskets filled with kisses and decorated with a flower and an Easter chick. Sorry that I didn't take a picture of these.

top:  Jeannine, Jody
middle: Laurie, Lani, Erin, Kathy
front: Gayle, Debbie, Judy

Ok I forgot to keep one of mine so yes it is missing.  Erin's is hard to see but it looks like an Oreo cookie and is so cute.  They all are beautiful cards, what a great bunch of women.  Everyone is so creative.  Next month is a feminine card so guess I better start working on that one.
Thanks for stoping by.
Be sure to leave the ladies some love.  Let them know what you think of their cards.

Flower Pot Card

I know these have been around for a long time and there are lots of different styles.  But it has been raining and grey for a while around here so I decided I needed some flowers in my life.  So here is my version on the Flower Pot pull out card.

Here it is with the pull out.  I know you have all seen these but just in case.
These are great for a money holder, gift card, or just a note to someone special.  We made these in class this month and everyone seemed to have fun with it.  I made my first one in a class I was taking back in 2008 and it was made using all punches and it was so cute.  I don't have a picture of it to show you.  But with the Cricut you now can make them any size you want.  You are not limited by the size of the punch or the die.

All products are CTMH unless otherwise noted:
Flower Pot is cut with the Walk in my Garden Cricut Cartridge.
Flowers and leaves are cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.
Cardstock:  Sunset, Petal, Gypsy, Sunny Yellow, Tulip, Garden green, and Sunflower.
Inks:  Tulip, Autumn Terracotta.
Corner rounder.
Stamp Set is one of the three stamp sets that comes with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Card Class Card #2

Here is another card we made in my last class.  It uses the ready made Colonial White die cut cards and envelopes.
I couldn't wait to use the Just Chillin' stamp set along with the Footloose paper pack.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut the shape for the top part and a new Color Ready Accent wooden shapes for the closure part.  I colored the center of the flower with Sunflower ink and topped it with Liquid Glass and attached it with a glue dot Mini.
Let me know if you would like to join us.   Check out my class schedule on the page header above.
The umbrella was stamped in lagoon on the card and then the top of the umbrella was stamped again on White Daisy and cut out.  It is popped up with 3D foam tape and placed over the top of the stamped image.
I cut the coordinating shape from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and then cut that in half so it just fit on the front of the card.  Very Easy!

January My Creations Display Album

I almost forgot to post the January page of our Display Album that we made in December.  My DIL creates these pages for the My Creations Display Album Z1054.  Everyone in class seems to love what she does.  I know that I do.  When I asked in class what they would like to do in this coming year everyone said more cards, and can we just keep going with the Display Album so we have new pages for the up coming year.  So guess what!  Jenn agreed to keep doing them.  So I will just keep posting them.
Just in case you didn't know....  These would make great 12x12 scrapbook pages too.  I hope that you can see the shimmer on the top of the page it is always hard to photograph.  She used the spray pen with water and pearl paint, no ink.  The picture does not do this justice in any way.  The Daisy White ink does not show up very well either.  But in person it is beautiful.  The stamped saying on the bottom right says Winter Wonderland.  Have I mentioned in this post yet that I Love the Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close To My Heart. Well I do!  Cutting out all the snowflakes and the snowballs for everyone in class or trying to make multiple card with these on them would take for ever.  Now with the Cricut you just select the total that you need and press cut and it is done.  I just love that.  No more punching or scissors to get the job done.  With the complementary Stamp images that are available from CTMH it makes a perfect fit.  The stamp sets have the size that you need to cut it out at right on the stamp set.  No more waisted paper trying to fiugre it out.
If you want to see all the other pages click here.
Here is the supply list

Well Jenn did it again! This months Display Album was a big hit in class.  My DIL has done a super job with this and I think she is having a great time coming up with the Ideas too.  Jenn used the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge for all the cuts.  Jenn also used the new Holiday Wishes CC1015 stamp set to stamp over the Art Philosophy ornament cuts. You can get the Holiday Wishes stamp set this month for $5.00 when you order $25.00 or more of My Acrylix Stamp Sets.  That is a great deal!!!

Art Phlosophy meets Cherry -O for Mojo Monday #203

Here is the card I made for my first Mojo Monday Challenge # 203.  It is also a sneak peek at one of the cards for Card Class.  Aug 23rd at 6:30.

I used the New Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and the coordinating Stamp Set Hooray Bouquet.  I have want to use it ever since I saw it at Convention.  Now I know why!  I had fun making this card start to finish and it didn't take me long either.  What makes this stamp set so different is that it has a coordinating image that you can cut from the AP cartridge and then stamp on top and it matches. The carrier sheet that has the stamps on it also has the sizes that you need to cut it out at.  Easy enough!!
Here is what I used
The paper pack is Cherry -O  because I am consuming the products not collecting them.
All the cuts are the ones that are on the stamp set.
The leaf - Sweet Leaf C/S is is from page 59 Shift> <leaf4>
The flowers- Blush, Baby Pink, White C/S is from page29 Shift> <flower6>
The center of the flower I stamped and cut out by hand.  Sunny Yellow
The border- Cranberry C/S is from page 64  Font> <Arrow2> cut at 1/2" and I welded 3 of them together with my Gypsy
Stamp Set- Hooray Bouquet D1419
