The New Year is Here!

2017 is here! So lets get it started off right.  I have a lot to share this month.
We have so many new products,  a new Seasonal Expressions catalog too.
First off is the Welcome Home wreath.  I love this and you can personalize it to fit your needs.
You can buy the kit out right.  Or when you order $60.00 or more you can get the kit for FREE

I made this one just like the instructions tell you to do.  But I could see so many different ways to of  doing these.  You also end up with the center circle that I am going to decorate too.  I will post that at a later date. I really want you to know how easy this kit is to put together.  I takes a couple of hours to put together but I think it is worth it.  You get plenty of letter with your kit so you should be able to have it say what you want.

If you would like one or two you can get them here

Last Day of School Door Decoration

Friday was the last day of school so Jenn always makes something special.  Jenn wanted to make a ruler wreath so this is what we came up with.  Mrs. Osterkamp is now a 4th grade teacher but my Grandson also had her for his Kindergarten teacher.  The wreath we made before stayed with Mrs. Davis in the Kindergarten class so now Mrs. Osterkamp will have one of her very own.
You can see Mrs. Davis's wreath here

I know that she will enjoy this for years to come.
The rulers were cut in half
The pennants and the tag were cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge
Paper is the Happy Times Paper pack and Fundamentals Paper pack
All the embellishments were CTMH.

You can check out all the other wreath that I have made here

My Desk Calendar for 2014

I have been wanting to make an easel card calendar and I knew I had to make one now.  I do a calendar every year but they are usually smaller.  You can see last years calendar here.   So here is my take on it.  I used the Laughing Lola paper X7170B.  I printed a calendar that was on my computer.  The flowers were from the Art Philosophy cartridge Z1686. The stamp set is Horray Bouquet D1491 and you can see what else I have made with this stamp set here
You can change out the photos and the calendar as you like.  The calendar is just one that was on my computer but you can download them off the internet for free if you do a search for them.

I had made a fall wreath that just kept jumping off my wall.  It broke so may times that I could not repair it any more.  So now I use all the flowers and leaves on different projects.  I guess it never wanted to be a wall flower for one.  It wanted to be used and shared with many.  You can read all about my wreath here

The brads, photo clip, and ribbon are from my stash.  I love it when I get to use my stash.

Be sure to check out the while supplies last section here to see the great deals.

Halloween Wreath from CTMH/Artiste

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here is a wreath that my DIL Jenn and I made yesterday.  After we finished dropping off the grand kids at school and taking our walk we headed up to the Scrapbook room.  Jenn had started making rosettes knowing that she wanted to make a large Wreath.   Can you tell that we knew what we wanted to end up with but not sure how we were going to end up there Hummmm!
I stated by attaching all 5 Rosette parts together so that we a large Rosette.  Then I cut a large circle for the backing to keep the Rosette round.  Then we put together the next layer that was a different color the same way.  Next we cut out the Sunset piece (not sure what you call that shape).  The spider web then the spider and Eek!  Jenn added the cutouts from the web to the spider (that was a very cool idea) and popped him up using an Adhesive Spring so he has lots of movement.  The little flower is the Black Tulle Ribbon.  We covered the Black striped Grosgrain Ribbon with the Black Tulle and the Bow is made from the Black Tulle Ribbon too.  The Bling Assortment button and hat pins are in the little flower.  I hit the whole thing with spray glue and we sprinkled Prisma Glitter over it.  The Eek!, Bow, and rosette flower are held on with #Glue Dots from #CTMH
We will be using this for the H2H challange.
It ended up about 14" and it is so cute I can't wait for the kids to get home and see it.
Okay the Grand kids really liked it.  How about you?

All the products are Close To My Heat #CTMH

Cardstock:  Black, Pear, Sunset, Gypsy
CTMH Artiste cartridge from Cricut

One of my Granddaughters Birthday Wreath

Here is another Wreath that I have made.  This one was for my oldest Granddaughter.  She screamed when she saw it.  I use a piece of pipe insulation for the wreath and tied the tulle around the pipe insulation. I used three different colors and alternated them in order.  When it was done I cut all the edges to be the same length or close to it.  I fluffed up all the edges to make it full.  The letters were cut out of cereal boxes using my Cricut and then glittered.  The number was a wooden number and it was glittered.  Then I added some embellishments too.  I put a bow on it and made a loop on the back to hang it with.

Teacher Appreciation Week

We have a lot to share this week.  It is the start of Teacher Appreciation Week at my Grand kids School.  My DIL is the room Mom for my Grandson's Class.  Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Ostercamp are the teachers and so this week is all about them.  First we made this ruler wreath to hang on the outside of their door.  Close To My Heart has the perfect paper pack called Typeset you can see it here.  As you can see it goes great with anything to do with school.
The wooden rulers were cut in half.  The School House, Apple, Star, and the Room 1 were cut with the Cricut.  The pencils were from our stash.  The chalk board was from Michael's.  All the ribbon is Close To My Heart.  The canvas stickers and buttons are also Close To My Heart.

Cricut Cartridges used were:
Plantin Schoolbook
Happily Ever After
Close To My Heart's exclusive Art Philosophy

We hope they enjoy it!

Keep checking back we have lots to share with you.

My Grand Daughters First Birthday Balloon Wreath

I have seen several of the Balloon Wreaths on Pinterest so here is my version of it.
I just love these wreaths.  I used a 14" straw wreath, it just happened to be the last one at my local  Michael's (lucky me).  I use floral push pins and 5 large packages of multi color Balloons at the $1 store.  The Bow and ribbons also are from the $1. store too.  I can't wait to make more of these in different styles.  The wheels are turning!!!!!
It took around 275 balloons and about 3 hours to cover the wreath.  You wouldn't think it took that long but it did.  Just filling in all the spot and mixing all the colors.  Or maybe I am just that slow anyway it was fun.
Let me know if you want a tutorial on how to make this?

Art Philosophy Fall Wreath

Here is why I haven't posted in the last couple of days.  I have been working on this fall wreath.  I just love the colors and how it turned out.  It took a long time but I think it was worth it.
I used all the flowers on the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  I designed it on my Gypsy so if I ever wanted to do another one like in Christmas Colors or for a Wedding I wouldn't have to start all over.  I designed it in 7 different layers on my Gypsy.  Each layer is full of flowers or leaves.  I maximized each layer with different sizes to fill my mat.  On the layer with the leaves I used 5 of each leaf in different sizes.  This way I would have a few of each size in one color since i am using 12 x 12 sheets of cardstock.  I can't believe how many flowers and leaves it took.
Here is the start.  After I placed the first few flowers and leaves I thought to myself, "what were you thinking this is going to take forever".  But then I also thought, yes but it will last forever too.
For the flowers I used 4 sheets of 7 different colors.  It is the different colors that make this wreath pop.
I did roll all the flowers first to see what the different shapes and sizes looked like before placing them on the wreath.  I added the leaves as I went along.  I thought about placing them at the end but I could tell right away that it wasn't going to work.
I did use the hot glue gun to attach the flowers and leaves.  I did have fun placing and replacing the flowers and leaves before I glued them down.  I am so glad that I did not choose a larger wreath.
Half way there and I need to cut and roll more flowers. I do love how it is turning out. I guess I should have counted how many flowers and leaves it actually took.  But I bet you can see the answer would be a lot!  LOL!  I really am thinking about doing one for Christmas now.
I just love the Art Philosophy cartridge it has so many useful shapes and goodies on it.  I couldn't live without it.  OK! OK! I could but it makes my life so much easier because it is so versatile.
You can order your Art Philosophy cartridge here if you don't have one yet.
So here is the finished wreath.
Lots of work I know!  But I do love it.
Let me know what you think.
