Festival of Tables Luncheon Tea and Fashion Show

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Last month I did a tablescape for the Clayton Valley Woman's Club Festival of Tables Luncheon Tea and Fashion Show It was one of our annual fundraisers.  It is a luncheon Tea and Fashion Show. The Fashion Show part was put on by Draper's and Damon's.
Here are just some of the raffle prizes that you could win

There was a good turn out and all the tables were full.  Just to let you know that I won 3 of those baskets.  Here is the room full and ready to chat, eat. and mingle with friends, family, and met lot of new people.

Here is Joan she was the one tasked with setting everything up and what a great job she did.  Everything ran smooth and easy.  Well at least that's the way she made it look!  Great Job Joan!
Joan is the one on the left.
.

You sign up to do a table and your theme.  I chose Paris.  My friend Tess helped me.  She had lots of different plates, table settings, napkins, and the chair covers.  I was amazed at what she had.  Thanks Tess for all your help and input.  My DIL helped Tess and I do the set up, as always Jenn is a big help.  Here is my table.  I used my Cricut to cut out all the flowers, leaves, placemats, and gift tags/ name cards.  I use the CTMH Art Philosophy, Artiste, and Artbooking cartridges to make everything,

Here are some of the other tables for you to enjoy.

Here the ladies dressed the part.  Their table was the roaring 20's and I think they did a great job. They had lots of fun too!

Lunch was catered by Rick's On Second in Antioch.  Lunch was served by husbands and son's of the Woman's Club.
It was a great lunch I loved it it was the perfect amount too.  There was dessert too but by the time I remembered to take the picture it was gone.  Imagine that!  LOL  It was very good.   Just before lunch was a raffle and I won one.  Lucky me!

After lunch was another raffle given out.  I won another one. now I have 2.  Lucky me again!
Then it was time for the Fashion Show from Draper's and Damon's.  The models were all club members or family of club members.

They took a break in the middle of the Fashion Show and did another raffle and you guessed it I won another one.  Out of 30+ baskets to win I won 3 of them and here they are.  What a fun day it was.

Be sure to check back and see what I did with everyting from tablescape.

More Taste of Summer for National Scrapbooking Month

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here is more I made with the Taste of Summer #ctmhtos  Karen Morris our Presidential Director and she rented the Brandywine room for us at the Sacramento Hilton for the day.  We got to bring projects and just create and spend the day with our CTMH Sisters.  What a fun day we had.  Thanks Karen for doing this.  Here are just some of the things I made while we were there.

This is a fun paper pack with lots of bright summery colors. It also has a coordinating stamp set.

Told you it was cute and colorful!  Here is another card that I made. I used the Strawberry and random stamped it on my Daisy White card in Smoothie.  I used the little Strawberry topper and stamped it in pear on the Strawberry.  The Bee, flight path, and sentiment from the Seasonal Inspiration 2's  Operation Smile stamp set on the back of the Catalog.  Happy Everything D1653

The is the third card I made.  Thanks to Jen Patrick for bringing her Pink Cricut Expression 2 with her and all 4 of our Cricut cartridges.  I was able to cut out shape I needed for the sentiment for this card.  That was so nice of her and she came from Fresno.
I will need to bling this card up so I will post it when I get finished with it.  It is hard to take everything you need when traveling but that is fun too, it's a work in progress!

You can see other card I made with the Taste of Summer here!

Our Christmas Card Swap

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Well it is time for another Swap from our Krafty Kard club.  We met at Erin's house and she did not let us down.  Everything was decorated and ready for the Holiday's.
Along with our card swap we were supposed to bring a stamp set that we hadn't used much if at all.  We passed around a bag with all the stamps sets in it and you had to grab one out without looking at them.  I got a country one with 3 farm animals on it.  I can't wait to make my cards with it.  Then we had a Secret Santa gift exchange.  What a great time we had.

Here they all are.  They make cute decorations on my hutch.

Laurie made this beautiful card she used gold mirror paper and white paper.  The dies she used were from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Heartfelt Creations, and Memory Box.  Some of these are now discontinued.

Donna used a stamp set from Stampin up.  This is so simple and so cute.  I love it.  She just colored the snowman in and there you have it.

Jeannine made these cute little treat boxes from the Artiste page 50.   The mustache, is from Art Philosophy.  The Holly leaves and pom pom are from Artiste. The eyes are brads.

This is the Tag that Jeannine made and she cut it out with the Z1790 Artiste cartridge.  It also uses the Z1686 Art Philosophy and an older stamp set from CTMH.  The Seam binding she got on Amazon and she got a great deal.  You just ink it with a color you want then crunch it up, let it dry.

Our newest member is Cathy and this was her first time with all of us.  She hand cut everything WOW!  Then she hand painted the face and that was a lot of work I am sure.  The cup holds a packet of hot chocolate.  The cup is embossed with snowflakes,  she added some bling and a silver snowflake.  She is going to fit right into the group.

Lani made a snowman tag.  The Holly, Snowflakes is from Impression Obsession they are disc, The Snowman is from Tim Holtz,  The saying is an older Stampin Up stamp so is the ticket.  The Ribbon is seam binding that you just ink and crunch up and let it dry.

This is Kathy's card and she used the Close To My Heart Polar Bear Holiday It is stamped and then colored in. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The Snow flakes are embossed in white  and Prizma Glitter.  Such a cute card.

Erin used a vintage photo that she bought on Etsy. She attached it on glitter paper that was cut in a stamp shape.  She attached ribbon on the top. On the bottom she attached a bell to the bow.  I love how it turned out.

Elizabeth Crafts die and Spellbinders poinsettia die that Laurie used to make this cute tag.  The pearls in the center of the poinsettia really bring the flower to life.

Tamara used the window from Tim Holtz and a Tim Holtz Brick pattern embossing folder.  What a great card this is for the holidays.  The poinsettia is a 3-D sticker.

This is Debb's card and she used a piece of fabric that she liked and then scanned onto photo paper.
She embossed the blue cardstock after cutting a circle in the center.  The photo does not do this one any justice at all.

Tamara is our Artiste she does beautiful paintings.  She made us all an ornament, mine is the tree

Our desert was awesome.  Erin made a Chocolate Caramel Cake, boy was that good!

What a great bunch of ladies.  We always have a great time.  Everyone is so talented in their own way.  I can't wait until our next meeting in February

November Kard Swap group

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Well I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week.  This month our group met at Jeannine's house.  She always makes us a little something extra and this time was no exception.
Here is the treat box that held 4 Hersey's Treasures.  Yep mine are gone!  Aw you know you would have eaten them too!!!  They were delicious.
The box is cut from Art Philosophy page 22, the tag is on page 64, the leaf is from page 78
We always do a make-n-take that the hostess will do and Jeannine had us make Gift Card Holders.
The first one I made using a paper that had a horse one it.  Well you know me and my horses!  The card is cut using a Sizzix scallop square die.  You place 2 sheets together and cut them with the die at the same time.  Then you cut it all the way the 2 and tape the sides together leaving the on scallop un taped so it can overlap the bottom piece when you close it.  Use a piercing tool to make a hole and a brad to work like a hinge. The 3-D bow is cut from the Z1790 Artiste Cricut cartridge and so is the flower.
The second on uses the same Sizzix die you just don't cut through the one side.  The card is cut and then scored and then you run it through the Sizzix machine.  You can also use the Z1790 Artiste Cricut cartridge it has 2 gift card holders

Tamara used Memory Box Die and a Sizzix embossing folder to make this cute christmas tree card.

This is what it looks on the inside how cut is that.

Next was Laurie's card which is a tea bag fold card.

Erin made a faux tri fold card.  I love the colors it uses the stamp set D1550 Happy Autumn

Here is the inside and what makes if a faux tri fold.  The paper is  CTMH too!

Debb used a border punch and then stamped and cut out the fall leaves from CTMH.

On the in side it is stamped with a retired CTMH stamp set and punched with a scallop oval punch

Kathy's is a center Tri-fold card with a belly band.  I love all the colors.  The rain boot is a Stamps for life stamp and die cut.

The inside is stamped with Close to my heart retired C1495 Just chillin and Stamp of life.

Lani made a easel card using Spellbinders.

Here is is from the side so you can see how it sits.

Jeannine made a snowman card that opens up into a 3 tier snowman.  The snowballs are cut from Spellbinders.  The face is a stamp from Peachy Keen.  The hat is cut from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge

Here it is opened up and stamped with CTMH C1506 Flakey Friends.  What a fun card to make and get.

Donna made a 60/40 card.  She use a random stamp technique for the front and a strip on the inside.
You never have to worry whether you have a coordinating paper or not because you can make it just the way you want it.

You can see the strip on the inside as well as the 60/40 opening.  I love the colors she choose.

I made a post-it-note holder that I cut from the Z1790 Artiste Cricut cartridge.  It is a little album but I hid all the holes except the 2 on the flap to put the Z1921 bakers twine in.  I used the Pathfinding paper pack and Kraft paper
