June Kard Club Swap 2018
Has it already been a month since our last Kard Club Swap? Wow, time really does fly.
Last night we all met at Laurie's house. It was Lynn's turn to host and because she lives farther away Laurie offered her home so we didn't have to drive so far. Thanks Laurie for that!
We always have a great time getting together and chatting with each other. Fun group of ladies.
Lets get started! First up is Debb, she was not there but took her cards to Laurie's early so we would have them. She used a wood grain embossing folder, first she inked the embossing folder then cut the fence shapes out of that and then added the nail heads with a marker. She used a die cut for the grass.
Next we have Kathy's. She used a playing card and rounded the opposite corners. She used papers from her stash, embossed the Celebrate and added some pretty gems.
This is Donna's and she used the Stampin Up Star Punch. The hello is a die cut.
Laurie used an Art Impressions die to make this cut card and every part of the knife moves and is stamped with a cute saying. You will be able to see this better in my video.
Then we have Lynn's she used Ann Griffith paper, a star punch and the stamp is from
Taylor expressions.
Jeannine Use her Distinctive Impressions stamp for this one.
Lynn also had a make and take for us to do. So here is the Pin Wheel that we made.
So that is it for this Month, we don't meet in July (to much going on). The Aug one is at my house and our theme is Travel. That should be a fun one. Who doesn't love Travel
Here is my Video of all the cards and the insides too.

Erin use her Paper Pumpkin kit to make this one. We even got a cute envelope to go with it.
Cathy made this one and she splattered the star, the circle was a Sizzix die, the rock was a Cricut cut, the Wolf was a Spellbinders die, the Trees are Cottage Cutz.
Jeannine Use her Distinctive Impressions stamp for this one.
These are mine and I always make extra just in case. I used the Free Printables from The Navage Patch. I also used the G45 Regular Tag &m Gears Metal Dies.

Kard Klub Swap May 2108
It's been awhile since I have posted about cards I have made so this will be a change of pace from my Mini Albums. Our theme this month was Clocks or Time. I have had a hard time coming up with an inspiration for any of my cards lately and I am sure it showed in my end result. This time was different. I first started with Pinterest but no luck. I just bought the Graphic 45 Square Tag & Clock Metal Die (not even thinking about the theme for this month).
I got out the Die and started staring at it. I decided to just cut one of the clocks out with CTMH Gold Glitter paper and see if I like it. I loved it.
I had purchased some paper doilies that I bought when I was at a crop at It's all about the Scrapbook. Then I got my new Floral Shoppe paper from G45. Wow, it's gorgeous.
I did purchase all my G45 and die at Country Craft Creations
The finished product. My sentiment, Every moment is a gift, fit with our theme of Clock or Time.
It fits into my life at that moment too! I have a good friend that is in the hospital on life support and thinking about her and her family at this time was how I came up with this sentiment.
I am all set and ready to go with my cards. I always make 12 and bring home the extras. I really never remember how many of us there are.
So let's get started with the first card in the group. Grab your favorite beverage and here we go!
This card was made by Debb she stamped it with the clock stamp from CTMH called Make It count and the Embossing folder that she used was by Darcie.
This one was made by Donna.
She used a shimmer paper, and the same embossing folder as Debb did.
Then Jeannine used the Cricut cartridge Sophisticated to cut the clock out and a Stampin Up stamp set Timeless Treasures and the flower is from Petite Petals
Cathy used a printable from Pinterest for her Cuckoo Clock and then embellished it with punches, dies, and gems
Lynn's card is made with various Anna Griffith items. She used a variety of items from different packs
Laurie made hers a Cuckoo Clock too. I love this paper. She used a Tattered Lace Die.
Kathy our hostess made this one it is cut from the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge
This is Erin's card her and I both used the same die from G45 Square tag and Clock die. This card is beautiful and shows up better in my video.
This one is mine and you already read all about in the beginning.
Here is the video that you can watch that has them all.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about any of the cards just let me know.

May Kard Club Swap
We had our May Kard Club Swap last night at my house. It took me most of the week to get my room ready. What a mess it was. It is always nice to go through things and purge what you really don't need. If you don't absolutely love it, get rid of it. So that is exactly what I did. Woo Hoo!
Our theme was Red, White, and Blue. Some will even make a little goody for each of us! Laurie made an Uncle Sam hat that holds lots of yummy candies. Laurie loves her Silhouette so I am sure that she used it to cut this cutie out.
First up is Kathy M. I love the googly eyes. LOL!
This one is Erin's
Donna made this one
Here is Jeannine's
Debbie used flowers and a cute saying inside
Inside of Debb's
This one is mine, I used watercolors for the background and then stamped the fire works in cranberry. I made 2 different color backgrounds to look like the sunset and the night sky. I water-colored on regular Daisy White cardstock (it's not watercolor paper). The little boy in the pedal car is a Cricut cut from A Child's Year. It is probably my favorite cut of all. I used Mercury Glass stickles on the starts and Wink of Stella Clear on the bell. The little boy in the pedal car was actually cut out in Daisy White cardstock and sponged with Sapphire ink only because I used all my Sapphire cardsock on a Mini Album and have not yet replaced it. I popped him up with foam tape.
Here is Jodie's she lives in Nevada so we think she made it to look like her state!
On the inside
This one is Laurie's I am sure she cut this with the Silhouette.
It's even cute on the inside.
Last but not least is Cathy's. We all know this shape!
Inside
And now for our project. I cut 6 blocks of 2x4 wood 11" long. Well my husband did and sanded them all down. Not quite smooth. I painted them on all 4 sides with White acrylic paint. You can use whatever color you want. This will be the actual color of your letters. Then I cut out the word Kitchen in 4 different fonts so they would have a choice. I weeded all of them but one just so they could see how I do it.
I use contact paper for these kinds of projects. It is way cheaper than vinyl and since I peal it off of my project I don't feel like I am wasting as much money.
This is after I weed every thing off.
I then place painters tape over it. Leaving a tag to hold onto on each end.
Then I lift up the tape from one side and the vinyl will come off with it.
Next I hold onto the tags at each end and center it on my block and burnish the letters down with my bone folder.
The last step is to peal off the painters tape leaving the vinyl. Sometimes you have to use your fingernail to hold the edge of the vinyl down while pealing the tape up. Then burnish the letters to the block
Now you are ready to paint your block.
Then I take my Kraft knife and peal up the letters carefully. That's it! You can seal it with a clear sealer.
Here are all the ladies with their signs. You can use your re-inkers to mix with the White paint to make it any color you want. Cathy, Erin, and Jeannine used Sea Glass. It is hard to see in the picture but they turned out great!
I got a text later in the evening and Jeannine shared hers in her kitchen. How cute is that.
Hope you give this a try please share you pictures in the comments. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help you.

Now you are ready to paint your block.
The step I am missing is to first dab white or what ever color you painted you block. This will seal around the vinyl so that no paint will bleed under the vinyl. Very Important Step.
After that dries completely then you can paint over the whole block. I used black but you can use any color that goes with your Kitchen. You will need to let that dry completely.
Then I take my Kraft knife and peal up the letters carefully. That's it! You can seal it with a clear sealer.
