Junk Gypsies, Round Top, Texas

It has been 2 weeks since our Girls Road Trip 2019 to Texas.  What a great time we had.  I loved every minute of it.  We started out in San Antonio, then to Austin, Fredericksburg, Round Top, Galveston, Houston, Waco, then Dallas.  16 days of Hotels, shopping, restaurants and fun.

We got a Niesson Rouge from the rental place and off we went.  3 ladies and their luggage.  Hope the car is big enough for all of us, our luggage and our shopping bags.  We shall soon see.  Our flight didn't get in until 6:45 to San Antonio and by the time we got our rental car it was dark and we needed to first find our way out of the airport and then to our Hotel.  We stayed at the Best Western Riverwalk so I put that into my maps program and we were off.  Unfortunately they are doing a lot of road construction and every off ramp that we needed was closed at night so we had a hard time getting to our first hotel but we made it and our trip was fantastic.

My pick was Round Top and Waco for Junk Gypsy's and everything Magnolia.  Well we all picked Magnolia.  Earlier this summer in July my Husband, all 3 Grand-kids, and me went on a 2 week Family Road Trip 2019 and we drove from the Bay area to Corpus Christi and back.  This trip we flew to San Antonio rented a car from Costco (yes I said Costco).  Then flew home from Dallas.

This is one of my favorite purchases from Junk Gypsy's.  I have been enjoying my French Press since all the power outages that we have been having since all devastating fires that we have lived through.  I just love my mug  "Do no harm but take no Bull".  I even got a battery frother from our trip to Fredericksburg that is Red (not in the picture:().

Thanks for stopping by!
More to come on my trip.

Fun Road Trips Of My Summer Part 1

We love to go on day Road Trips with our friends Bob and Bert.  This week we went on 2.  Our first was to Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve.  What a beautiful spot near Ukiah, California.  I just love the Redwoods and I am always amazed at their size.
I can't believe I have been going to Clearlake since I was 4 years old and we never traveled very far from the Lake.  Things have change now and we try to do something that we have never done before. That will leave us with plenty to do for a long time.  So I guess its a good thing that we did go around a lot.

This was one of the trees that I stood at the base and tried to get a shot from the bottom to the top.  Nope you cant see the top.

The creeks are dry now but I love this shot.  It will be fun to go back and see it with the water.

There are 2 Monarch Butterflies one on each end of the big rock.  Do you see them?  I could just sit and watch the leaves float by on the water.

I just love ferns and moss and in the redwoods you see them both.  I love all the leaves on the ground.  Fall is on of my favorite times of the year.  I know that some will say that we don't get all the colors in California that you get back east and I must admit that I have never been back east in the Fall.  So one of these day I will have to take a trip and see it for myself.  Until then I will love looking at what I have in my back yard.

In a couple of days we will be heading off on another adventure.  Wonder where it will be?

Road Trip to Hero Arts in Richmond, California

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...What a fun fun day it was!  On Monday I meet with a group of friends at Starbucks and had Tea.  They all brought Items to share that they had made so I loved seeing all the things that they have been making. Halloween cards, shaker cards using the new fuse tool, even some Christmas cards too!  Brenda had her MISTI with her so she got it out and we did some background stamping with it.  LOVE LOVE the MISTI you can see my YouTube video here.
We all said we need to do a road trip.  So Hero Arts in Richmond was where we decided to go.  Today was the day.
We left at 9 am and we were there in less than a hour.  No traffic!
We were greeted at the door by a very nice young man.  We asked him about the building and he told us it was an old cannery.
Hero Arts is really the warehouse for there products but they have catalogs for you to look through and the have all there discontinued and sale items out for you to purchase.
Debbie was a great help in finding all the item that we couldn't live without.

Terri, Tess, Lorraine and I found lots of fun things we just had to have.  I was looking for thing to go with a Baby Album I am making and I found lots of goodies!  So did the rest of them.

We asked about places close by to go to lunch and we ended up with 2 great selections Salute and Assembly.  We ended up at Assembly.  It is in the old Ford assembly plant.  There is some history there!

The food was great!  Our waiter was Edgar and he was great too!  Right down to the design on my Cappuccino.

After lunch we went out side and I took a lot of pictures.  We could see the Bay Bridge,  Golden Gate Bridge, and the San Rafael Bridge. It was such a clear day no fog, and blue sky's.

We walked over to the Rosie the Riveter museum.  I have wanted to go there for a long time and today I get to go in.  I am a lucky girl!  Yes I am!  If you are ever near you must go and see it.  It's not very big is size but it's large in history.
