Here is my first attempt on the SVG file from Better Life Blog on FB. I made a couple of mistakes but I like how it turned out. I still want to make holes in the tree and light it up and one hole where the head light is. I will post a picture when I get it finished.
Here is is so far.
Iron-On Foil
Green
Silver
I cut everything with my Cricut Maker and Ironed it all on with my Cricut Easy Press! The Easy Press make it so easy.
It will be a piece of cake now that I have made one. I can break down all the pieces to cut multiples on each mat to get the most out of my vinyl.
You can't see how shinny the Tree and the silver for the wheels are but it turned out great. I did not let the tree cool enough before I pull off the carrier sheet and I do know better! Lesson learned!
The Canvas is 11x14 from Wal-Mart it came as a 2 pack for $5.00.
I would like to make more of these as gift for next year.
Here is a short video I made after dropping painters tape on the backside of my Iron-on Foil project. I love it when my mistake turns into something special.
Here it is on the Dollar Tree pot holder.
Here is how I give them as a gift. This is one I made for my Grandaughter's teacher.
Here is an Album Book Box that I made. It was pretty easy to do and it didn't take very long either. You could make it in a day. I love this Hello Lovely paper and instead of hoarding it I wanted to make something out of it that I could look at. So when I saw the Album Book Box over at Country Craft Creations I knew I wanted to make it with this paper. I love how it came out.
You can watch this short video on how it works. Every page has a pocket on the top but I totally forgot to mention it and make inserts for it. You can bet I will get that done next. LOL
Her is the box all decorated up. Everything is Close To My Heart except the 2 white flowers. They are from Petaloo Textured Elements which I got from Mainely Stampin.
The box measures 5"x 5 3/4" x 1 5/8"
I did all 4 sides the same. The Box is New England Ivy cardstock, mats are Sea Glass and the pattern paper is Hello Lovely (sorry but this is no longer sold). Like I said I didn't want to hoard it any longer.
Here is the bottom. Can you tell its upside down. The sticker is really on correctly. I just turned the box over the wrong way. LOL!!!
You can see the album from the end and now you can tell how thick it is. You only have 1/4" gussets so you really can do a lot of embellishing. But that's ok because the paper is so cute.
They first page is a flap page. There are 3 pages with flaps on them. I used the Complementing stickers that came with the Workshop Your Way. They really make the paper come to life and add to the story of the book.
The insert in all the pockets are from the cut apart pages that have 3 4x6 cards and 6 3x4 cards on them. I matted them on some cardstock that was left over from the box and book.
Every page has a large pocket at the top and a small pocket at the bottom.
Here you can see the last page and the bottom of the box. The box uses no chipboard at all. But because of all the matting it ends up with 5 layers so the Box is actually very strong.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by!
It is my Grand Daughters 12th Birthday soon. I have been racking my brain for something special for her. She is a beautiful, loving, and very caring young lady. When you ask her what she would like for her Birthday she always says I don't know, anything is fine.
What do you do for someone like that. You want to make it special but boy, that is a hard one. She has loved Owls for years now so when I see something with Owls on it I think of her. When we go to the any wildlife place she wants to see the Owls. She has done several reports at school on different kinds of Owls and how they live. So you guessed it! I will make her something with an Owl on it. In the Four Seasons Home Decor cartridge there is a 3D shadow box with an owl in it.
When you bring it into the Design Space it is different shades of the same color so I first ungrouped it and added different colors to each one closer to nature. Then I copied and pasted another Owl one and used the hide contour button to make a darker silhouette that way I could add feathers and the branch would have different shades to it too.

Here is one of the Hostess gifts that I made for our community Christmas Party. I make this holders for lots of things and they are very easy to make.
I put peppermint bark and some caramel kisses in a clear Close To My Heart bag and tied a ribbon close to the bark the I cut off the excess. I use a binder ring to hold the box together and tie tole all around. I used one of the tags I made from my card swap.
If you need a tutorial on how to make these let me know. They are so easy.
This video show you how they decorated the cover of the pocket page album Z1870. These make such great gifts. They are great for wedding showers, baby showers, a long time friend, for your Grand Kids, for your Grand Parents, a trip to Disneyland or any vacation. It has pockets for tickets, trinkets, hotel keys, Gift cards, what ever you want. A dried leaf from a Fall drive or trip. You can have a lot of fun with these.
Watch what you can do with the Irresistables Frames Z1843. Because the embossed pattern resists ink you can use the frames with the My Creations Cubby Z1804 to create many different kinds of countdowns, and lots of other kinds of projects or cards too.

Not that I want to make this year go any faster! But I just wanted to make a little calendar for next year.
Remember the Butterfly card that I just made, you can see it here. Well this is made using that little cut out from the center front of the card. I had a bunch of them leftover and so I started playing around with them and this is what I came up with.
The base for the calendar is a chip board coaster. If you ask at you local Restaurant they will usually give you a couple.
I covered it with a piece of pattern paper from the Clementine paper pack you can see it here.
I sponged everything with Twilight ink Z2160 except for the 2013. That I sponged with Sorbet Z2164
The calendar is a free printable online for 2013.
The Ribbon in the Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Z1617 You can order everything you need here!
These make great stocking stuffer too! Who doesn't need a little calendar they can put just about anywhere.
I just have to share this. I have been thinking about making these Lantern Boxes for a long time now. When I was looking for something else I came across my stach of velum. I pulled out this Rose velum and right away I knew what I was going to do with it.
I order a velum pack from QVC about 10 years ago and I think this was one of them. Who knows after that long but I am using it now.
I was feeling very girly and this is what I came up with. I made all the layers in my Gypsy so I can make lots of them. No more Rose velum though but lot of other ones.
I think the tag is so cute too.
Here it is in the dark with the Tea Light lit.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking a look. These would make great Mother's Day gifts don't you think?
You can see more things I have made using Tea Lights here.
All products used are Close To My Heart except the velum piece.
I used the Art Philosophy and the Artiste Cartridge to make it all. I love every cut they make. I keep saying "my Cricut does the work and I take all the credit" I love that I can tell it to auto fill a page a 12 x12 sheet of cardstock and it calculates how many it can put on it. Works for me!!! Order your Art Philosophy and Artiste Cartridge here.
I might have to make a youtube video for this one. Leave me a comment if you would like to see that.
Here is something for Halloween or Birthday Party. I showed you earlier a video on the Workshops on the Go Spellbound Cricut Kit G1040. So here is what I made. What fun it was to make. I put some of the cards and tags that I made for this month's Card Class and the little Cake Plate is from I made from Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge. Everything else was cut with the Artiste and Art Philosophy from Close To My Heart
The kit looks like this and will make the Banner, Gift Bags, Cupcake Holders, Drink Markers, and Cupcake picks (I forgot to use them in this picture) :(.
