My Envelope Pouch.

I watched a couple of videos on on how to make these Envelope Pouches.  Joie di fi first made one and then Shabbydabbydoodah also made one.  While I was watching  these I though about an Amazon package that I had and wondered if I could use it to create the Envelope and adhere paper to the packaging so here is the result of what I came up with.

Here is the packaging and the sheet of paper that I created with my Etsy digital papers and Friday Freebies from some of the Junk journal Facebook groups that  I belong to.
I will link them below.
I must tell you that I have always sworn that I would never sew on my paper or in my journal. So I did have to eat my words but that is okay because I have been having so much fun doing it.  LOL!

I glued the paper to the Amazon packaging with Beacon 3-in-1.  I added a ribbon pull that matched the paper.  I sewed around all the edges and and across the front.

I covered the inside with a dictionary paper from My Porch Prints from Etsy

I added some lace and a Print then Cut Butterfly with my Cricut Maker/  The Wonder clips are just there to hold the flap closed for now.

I added some of the lace to the back too!  You can see to the right that lace was white.  I colored it with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain.

The photo don't really do this justice.  I colors and the feel of it really make it special.

What's Going On In Your Craftroom?

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Well here is what I am doing in my Craftroom today.  I am cutting out lots of ephemera that I can store in my Ephemera File Folder that I made last week.  I am really liking it and it is so easy to put together and use.  My Cricut Maker Affiliate Link makes it even easier to make my ephemera with the Print then Cut feature.  Here are some roses that I uploaded and am cutting out in lots of different sizes for different projects.
Don't forget that I do a Facebook Go-Live every day at 11:45am PST on My Page

Who couldn't use a beautiful Pink Rose.
You can see the registration marks around the perimeter of the Roses.  This is used by the Cricut to know where each rose is and where it needs to cut.

I leave the bleed feature on so that it will put a little extra ink around each image and that way I don't get any white or Sticker like White around my images.

This is my Ephemera File folder storage and I just love it.  I made a Video on how to make this, you can see it here  Pt 1 and Pt 2 They are really easy to make and you can see everything that you have without having to dig around in a pile.

Here is just one of the pages and how I am using them..

Thinking about getting a Cricut Maker or Explore you can check out my Affiliate Link here

For the Love of an Old Suitcase

I have been working on an old suitcase that my Sister-in-law Lani gave me.  She really didn't want to part with it, I could tell.  We have been sharing things with each other from our craftrooms.  I have shared the Happy Mail that she has given me you can see that here.
I loved how the suitcase looked with the leather straps on it.  I forgot to take a picture before I started but got this one that you can see how rough it was.  I decoupaged over the top with some map pages that I ripped up.

I left the handle, corners, and straps exposed because they were leather and still in good shape.  I love how it is turning out.  It is pretty bright white, I am not liking that so much!  I should have coffee dyed the maps before I ripped them up and put them on.  Now I am going to have to stain it or maybe some ink will help.  I will have to explore these possibilities further.  Leave me what you would do in the comments below.  You can see the maps that I coffee dyed here.

I found a Free Printable vintage map of Europe and downloaded it into Design Space and used it on an the background of an image to make various sizes of this Paris image.  I will decoupage the smallest one onto my suitcase.  I will post a photo of it when I have it on the suitcase.

Welcome to Spring Card with a Sneak Peek to the next Catalog

I think I say this every time but the upcoming catalog is good one.  You are going to love it.  This is just one on the new stamp sets and it's called Happy Everything. This one will be available on April 1st. no fooling!
Don't forget

Because our stamps are clear and pliable you can fit the to different shapes.  Here I bent it to follow the the banner shape then I applied the block on top.

I love the Pint then Cut on my Cricut Explore.  You can see how beautiful the Butterfly is.  I cut the honeycomb shape from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  I use the hide contour and and randomly took out some of the honeycombs.  I really liked how that looks.  The doily shape is cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge and so is the banner shape.

It really is a pretty simple card and not much to it.  But I like the way it came out.  How about you?
The Butterfly looks like he is ready to fly away.  Humm I think I see another project in my mind...

All products used were Close To My Heart.

Cardstocks are Sweet Leaf, Sunset, Honey, Glaiser
Inks are  Black, Glaiser, Sweet Leaf

Bon Appetit Dinner Party meets the Cricut Explore

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Last month was my turn to host our monthly Cooking Club.  Their are 5 of us and what fun we have preparing, cooking, and serving what we have made.  I thought I would share with you my table setting, well the place card, menu, and thank you for coming gift.  I made them with my Cricut Explore.  I have seen the menu in the Make It Now projects, I loved it and wanted to make it.  I used the customize it and this is what I made.
The gift box is from Sweet Tooth Boxes. The place card I don't remember but if you do the search for place setting it comes up. I added the text to the place card with the Cricut Explore write feature.  The menu is from the Make it now projects on the Cricut Explore.  I customized it with what we were having for dinner.  I really love how it all turned out.
The gift box has cooking Seasoned Salt for different parts of the world. I placed them in the Close To My Heart clear cello bags tied it up with CTMH ribbon and the tag is from the new Print then Cut images from the Cricut Explore.

I did not take a close up of the place setting but here is the table. My granddaughter set the table and she had a great time putting it all together. She was our hostess and seated everyone and sever all the food and the dessert.
The table, and hutch were my original set from the 70's.  My DIL Jenn did a chalk paint treatment on them and the wall sconces then finished them with a wax.  I love how it turned out.

My first Print then Cut image with the Cricut Explore

Well I love the print then cut! I was able to calibrate and start printing in just a couple of minutes.  It was very easy to do.  I just love old keys and of course I had to cut out a P too!
I have an Imagine and Cricut gave us access to all the Imagine cartridges so now I can use them too.  These cuts are from the Country Carnival Imagine cartridge. I have a project that I will share later on with them.
Thanks Provo Craft and Cricut I love the new Cricut Explore.
