Fresh Cut Trees

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Here is my first attempt on the SVG file from Better Life Blog on FB.  I made a couple of mistakes but I like how it turned out.  I still want to make holes in the tree and light it up and one hole where the head light is.  I will post a picture when I get it finished.
Here is is so far.

I used Cricut Iron-on HTV

Black
Red

Iron-On Foil
Green
Silver
I cut everything with my Cricut Maker and Ironed it all on with my Cricut Easy Press!  The Easy Press make it so easy.
It will be a piece of cake now that I have made one.  I can break down all the pieces to cut multiples on each mat to get the most out of my vinyl.

You can't see how shinny the Tree and the silver for the wheels are but it turned out great.  I did not let the tree cool enough before I pull off the carrier sheet and I do know better!  Lesson learned!

The Canvas is 11x14 from Wal-Mart it came as a 2 pack for $5.00.

I would like to make more of these as gift for next year.

Here is a short video I made after dropping painters tape on the backside of my Iron-on Foil project.  I love it when my mistake turns into something special.

November Card Class

Here are the cards that I used for my November Card Class.  As you know I have had some trouble coming up with my own creations so I have looked to my fellow consultants for some help getting me back in action.
Here is my spin on what they made.  Thanks to all CTMH Consultants they are such great ladies and so helpful.

These cards use our new Thin Cut Dies, like Christmas, Snowflake and the Wreath.  I used the new Cricut Flower Market cartridge for the flower, leaves wheat and the pumpkin. I used the City Sidewalk for the angled background piece.  We all had fun making these.  It is always fun to have a group of fun ladies over and make cards.

I used the Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Flower Shaping Tool Kit.

The wreath is one of the Thin Cut Dies that are part of this months promotion.  These are the dies that coordinate with stamp sets that we already have.  Love this!

I will post a video soon on how I shaped my flower and pumpkin on these cards.  Keep checking back

White Pines WOTG and using the MISTI

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here is my video showing how I use the MISTI on the WOTG.  I really like how this works when you have more than one of the same card to make.

Some things the MISTI is not suited for but this was perfect for it.  I love things that make life easy don't you?   My friend Tess helped by demonstrating how this was done.  It was a very spur of the moment thing and I think she did a great job.  Tess's Mother-In-Law even had a great time stamping and making all the cards.  Lorraine and Terri were there too.  Everyone was so quite that usually doesn't happen.  We are all laughing and having a great time.

Artfully Sent Christmas Cards

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...I can't believe how much I love the Z3017 Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.  You can do so much with what is on it.  Need a simple card?  Got it!  Need a fancy card? Got it!  Need a Gift card holder? Got it!  I have not found an occasion that it does not have.  This one is a must have for your card making arsenal.  You won't be sorry.

I made some Christmas cards for this month and as you will see you find something that you love. First on is the simple one.  This is the a swing card from page 47 Scene Reg and Shift.  If you have the Explore you can search #131AFD.  You can save the snowflake and the Deer for another project.  These come in very handy.  The stamp set that I used is B1468 Merriest Christmas.  This is a very useful stamp set and it has several saying that would work.  The Cardstock is Glacier and White Daisy.  The inks I used were Pacifica, Cranberry, Daisy White.
I stamped snow flakes on the front in Daisy White ink but it does not show up very well in the picture.
How simple is that!  You can certainly add bling to the falling snow and  Ribbon around the Deer's neck or Washi tape above the Cranberry scallop border!  But I just wanted to show you that it is very cute simple and plain too.

Here is the inside of the Pop up Christmas Tree.  It is on page 48 pop-up Reg and Shift.  For the Explore it is #M1067EF.  I used Cranberry, Olive, and Daisy White Cardstock.
On the front I sponged it with Cranberry ink.  Gold Polka Dot Washi tape, Black Stripe ribbon, and a left over strip from My Crush Holiday Assortment cards.   This is another very simple one because the card is already cute by itself.  You can also add some bling to the front as well if you want.

This Merry Christmas card is the sentiment card on page 48 #M100C6B.  I hid the contour of the Merry and the little hat at the top and used the X7187B Yuletide Carol Paper Pack.  I used Z3007 Yuletide Carol Assorment decorate with.  I also use the Black Twill ribbon.  I use the VersaMark stamp pad over the word Christmas and embossed it with Ranger Silver supper fine silver embossing power
I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Update to the Snowhaven Pop-Up Card Box

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...How do you create?
I find that when I make something I have to leave it out and keep looking at it. Then I will add what I think is needed.  Sometimes it is not an easy process but I do love doing it.
I knew this one needed something but I was not sure what.  After putting on the Teal Glitter paper it still need more but more what?  I had some Z1263 Bitty Sparkles but they are clear so I colored them with ShinHan Twin Touch Alcohol markers. I really love how well they color and blend. So I used the Z2448 Carmine one to color the bitty sparkles red.  I use one on the Deer's nose. I use them on the little branches on each side of the box and I use some clear ones one the front above the front flap.  I use one clear one on each of the mittens in the center of the snowflakes.  I looked through my stash and found the pearl pin with the banner! Perfect! I love using my stash up.  How about you?
Here is the completed box card.                             You can see how I started here

I really like the Teal Glitter paper.  You can see the bitty sparkles on the little branches.
Here is a view from the side

Here is the back side where you would put your sentiment or what ever you wanted to say.
I really should have sponged the whole thing.  Well I guess that means I will be making another one!  LOL!!!

Snowhaven Pop-up Card Box

Have you made a Card in a box yet?  They are so easy and fun to make.  This one I made with the X7188B Snowhaven Paper Pack and the X7188CSnowhaven Compliments. It does not take very long to make one. You can find lots of tutorials and lots of different sizes. This one is a 6x6.  If you want to put it in a reg envelope that you will need to make sure that nothing sticks up past the edges of the card.
It looks like a regular card at first. But when you open it up! Surprise!!!

Here it is open.  I used the X7188C Snowhaven Compliments chipboard pieces to decorate it along with the Zip strip from the top of the paper.  I added some snowflakes that I cut out with my Cricut Explore using the Z1991Teal Glitter paper.

Guess I will need to add a little something to the front in between the flower and the Rt hand mitten.
What do you think?
If you would like a how to tutorial just leave me comment and I will put one up.
Thanks for stopping by.
Check back tomorrow for the update!!!

Christmas Gift Card Holder

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...Here is a just a plain cut for the Cricut Artiste cartridge that I made the other day.  I just love how simple it is.
It fits a gift card perfectly.
You can see the 3 different cuts that I used to make this.
All the B&T paper is CTMH Pear & Partridge the Cardstock is Desert Sand p41 Card.  I really like how it all coordinates and I really don't have to worry about finding things that go together.
The little gold doily is a from a yard sale about 70 differernt kinds of them in a baggie for $1.00.  I love yard sales.  I got the this frame and 2 others there too for $1.00.  I had no idea what I was going to do with them but when I started making this gift card I knew it needed a little something extra.
The Belly band is the cut that goes with the Gift Card holder p41 Card/S.  "Well that is what I am calling it."  You can use it as a stand alone card or and gift tag too.
The Tree is from Art Philosophy p52 Tree2/S.
The Stamp Set, Ribbon, and Bling are from the Pear & Partridge Workshop on the Go G1043 you can see it here.
I stamped, and sponged around everything with New England Ivy.
I will be making more of these for sure.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Workshop on the Go Advent Calendar Kit G1044

Well just thinking of all the up coming holidays is making my head spin.  Today Jenn put together my Advent Calendar Kit G1044.  It comes with everything you see  in these 2 pictures here plus Bitty Sparkles.  Can't forget the sparkles you know.
I love how easy it is to put together you just cut out the boxes with your Artiste Cricut cartridge from CTMH.  It comes with a set of easy to follow instruction on how to do everything you see here.  I forgot to take the picture of everything before so this is what was left.

Here is the completed Advent Calendar.  She did use some more sparkles from my stash.  I just love how it turned out.  The tips that Jenn has, would be to plan out the colors before hand so you don't end up with 2 of the same colors together.  But with the outsides all being different it really doesn't matter because they are all a little different.
Thanks Jenn
You can order yours here.  If you need any help or have any questions just let me know.

Card and Sweet Treat Holder from the July Card Class #2

I have been making 1 Christmas card each month in my Class to get a jump on Christmas.  This month I wanted to make a hanging ornament so I created this one in my Gypsy using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  Using Olive cardstock and a page from the new Pear & Partridge Paper Packet.  You are going to love this one!  New Products will be available Aug 1st.
Here I used the card layer from page 47 and hid the cutout in the center.  I put the oval from the center of the Decorative Layer hiding everything but the oval and placed in the center near the top.  Creating a second layer in the Gypsy I cut out the Decorative Layer/S the same size as the oval so they would match up.  I also put the sweet treat tag on this layer.  In the 4th layer I use the ornament from Layer/S I cut 2 out of the new Ruby.  In the 5th layer I cut out Shape2 from page 36 to use for the pop up part of the Title in Colonial White which I stamped with Christmas Love D1492 in Ruby.  I just masked off the Star.  If you don't have a Gypsy you can do the same thing in the Cricut Craftroom.
I randomly stamped the background on the card using 3 of the stamps from Happy Clusters C1471
The Sweet Treat Holder is scored and folded to have a flat bottom.
The Sky really is the limit!!!  If you can imagine it you can make it.  Give it a try and see what you come up with.

Christmas Tag

Here is one of the Christmas tags that we made in my class last Tuesday.  It uses the November Stamp Of The Month (SOTM), Cherish The Day S1111 on the ticket part of the the tag.  This month when you purschase $50.00 or more you are able to get the SOTM for only $5.00.  That's a great deal.  It has 44 stamps on it.  WOW!  That beats any Black Friday deal out there, I think.  What a great stamp set to have.  I can think of 3 different ways to use the tickets.  Birthday's, Holiday's, and reminder dates.
The Santa is from Christmas Cheer D1494.  The No Peeking!,  To:, and From: are from December 25th C1469.  All of these are fun stamp set for this time of year.
I used the Believe Paper Pack and 3 Bitty Sparkles.  I do love my sparkles!!  The reindeer trim piece is from the cut away on the edge of the Believe Paper.  I just love the trim pieces.  The Santa is water colored in and I used Liquid Applique for all the trim on Santa's suit.  The ticket is a cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (AP).  If you don't have this cartridge you don't know what you are missing.  It is so fun when paired with our coordinating stamp sets.  It truly is a must have.  The tag itself is cut from the AP cartridge too.
