Getting ready for Halloween

I love Halloween, I love the colors, and Fall, I really love Fall.
Last weekend a group of CTMH consultants and I got together and put this cute Halloween Mini Album.  Lori Scott was the leader on this one.  We had a great time, and as usual lots of laughs.
We are all teaching it as a class with our customers.  So if you would like to make one just let me know.  I am doing a class for it on Tuesday Septermber 29, 2015.  I will be doing more classes too!

Paper Garden S1509 September Stamp Of The Month

I really like the SOTM for September Paper Garden S1509.  I have already used it on several cards and I love how it turned out.  I also used the MISTI stamping tool and a made a video using them both.
Here is the Card I made.  I needed 50 sympathy cards quickly.  So I got my MISTI out.  It was a birthday present from some of the ladies in my card classes.  They are so great.  This is a fun gift to get.

I like that you can set it up with more that one design.  It really helps speed up the process.
First I stamped the wire mesh on the right hand side in Flaxen.  Then I moved the card to the other side

I then stamped in Saddle on the other side.  So simple right?

Here is the finished card.  I have all 50 of them ready to go and I love how they turned out.  I backed it with a piece of Saddle Cardstock and then placed it on the front of my cards.  All of it was done in less than a day.  I like that!!

Zoe Is the Paper pack for September

This month I will be featuring Zoe X7197B.  You can see how beautiful and what great colors Zoe has. I love this paper pack and the color combo.  I have already done a Scrapbook layout and several cards. August Stamp of the Month S1508 Framed

Earlier this month I went to the Scrapbook Expo in Santa Clara with a couple of my girlfriend and what a great time we had.  I bought way to much as usual but it was all for projects that I was working on and I will share them later when they are done.
We went to the all night corp on Thrusday night and the Make and Takes and got some great deals on lots of stuff that I couldn't live without.  Well I am sure you know how that goes.

Here is just one of the paper packs that I bought.  I don't know why but this paper was just calling my name and I couldn't walk away from it.  I just used this months CTMH SOTM S1508 Framed.  I really like how simple and clean the cards are.  You can cut them out by hand like I did or you can use your Cricut and the new Artistry cartridge Z3167

Rocky Fire in Lake County California #rockyfire

It's been awhile I know but a lot has been happening in my life lately that has kept me from my blogging.  So I am back at it again.
I have a couple of things to share with you all starting with the #RockyFire in Lake County California.  It started on July 29th and as of right now Aug 4th it has burned over 65,000 acres and is only 12% contained.

This is what it looked like on Friday July 31st.  My husband and I needed groceries so on our way home we decided to drive up to one of our favorite spots to view the lake and this is what we saw. Don't worry it was a paved road we were on.

I can't believe the way the smoke made the water look.  It really changed the colors that you see.  It was eerily beautiful.
I took several different shots, so here are some more from the same day.  This one is looking at Mt. Konocti.  The sun was bright over head but the haze and smoke layer were lingering over most of the lake and the surrounding areas.

 This was on Sunday evening in the Oaks before the Y where 53 and 20 meet.  I don't know how the Firefighters do it.  There are just Rig after Rig going to and from.  I have seen Burbank, Monrovia, Cloverdale, Grassvalley, Ukiah, and that was just at a stoplight in Lakeport.  They have come from all over.  Thank You! is never enough but Thank You to all the personnel that have made the call to put their life in harms way to save others.

This was at dusk but you could tell this was going to be a rough night for everyone with homes near and for the Firefighters trying to protect everything and everyone in its path.

On Monday we were at dinner with friend and this is what we could see.  The lake was calm so you could see the smoke in the reflection on the water.  We had several planes of all different kinds flying over and dropping the retardant on the fires that were all around.  This plume was just one of many that were flaring up here and there at different times.

I can't forget about the full moon that happened too!  July 31, 2015 I think actually was the day before the full moon but the color was amazing.
