Hello Lovely Album Box Book

Here is an Album Book Box that I made.  It was pretty easy to do and it didn't take very long either.  You could make it in a day.  I love this Hello Lovely paper and instead of hoarding it I wanted to make something out of it that I could look at.  So when I saw the Album Book Box over at Country Craft Creations I knew I wanted to make it with this paper.  I love how it came out.
You can watch this short video on how it works.  Every page has a pocket on the top but I totally forgot to mention it and make inserts for it.  You can bet I will get that done next.  LOL

Her is the box all decorated up.  Everything is Close To My Heart except the 2 white flowers.  They are from Petaloo Textured Elements which I got from Mainely Stampin.
The box measures 5"x 5 3/4" x 1 5/8"

I did all 4 sides the same.  The Box is New England Ivy cardstock, mats are Sea Glass and the pattern paper is Hello Lovely (sorry but this is no longer sold).  Like I said I didn't want to hoard it any longer.

Here is the bottom.  Can you tell its upside down.  The sticker is really on correctly.  I just turned the box over the wrong way.  LOL!!!

You can see the album from the end and now you can tell how thick it is.  You only have 1/4" gussets so you really can do a lot of embellishing.  But that's ok because the paper is so cute.

They first page is a flap page.  There are 3 pages with flaps on them.  I used the Complementing stickers that came with the Workshop Your Way.  They really make the paper come to life and add to the story of the book.
The insert in all the pockets are from the cut apart pages that have 3 4x6 cards and 6 3x4 cards on them.  I matted them on some cardstock that was left over from the box and book.

Every page has a large pocket at the top and a small pocket at the bottom.

Here you can see the last page and the bottom of the box.  The box uses no chipboard at all.  But because of all the matting it ends up with 5 layers so the Box is actually very strong.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by!

No Worries Mimi Album

Here is a Mini that helped a friend make using that the No Worries G1127 Workshop Your Way paper pack, along with the No Worries coordinating cardstock pack 7220D, and the  Pack. I also used 13 sheets of Sapphire cardstock X5775 for the cover, binding, and pages.  Phew that is a lot of paper but it was so worth it.   I made this short video to show you all the page. I will record a longer video when it is all complete.  I think this is one of the fastest albums I have put together.  I love this paper pack and it lends itself to an album.  You can be the judge.  Let me know what you think.

I used the Hidden Hinge Plus System by Kathy Orta King.  I love how it works and I think it will last a long time.  When you work this hard on something you want it to last.

For the Love of Owl's

Who doesn't love Owl's!  Sometimes when I am walking on the trails I will scare an Owl and it will fly out of it's tree.  Or maybe it scared me.  Who knows.  It's kind of a Chicken, egg kind of thing, I guess.
Here is an Owl card that I made using a Sizzix Die.  It was on the clearance Isle in Hobby Lobby.  I had to watch a couple of youtube video's to see how it was done.  I could not figure it out with the directions that were on the package.  But I love how it turned out.  I cut it out with Close to my Heart Sapphire for the main body.  I used an older paper pack and for the life of me I can't remember the name.  It has a western theme to it.  The beak is the back side of the paper.  I used Black and White Daisy for the eyes.  The inside is Daisy White too with sapphire ink.  The Stamp set is a disc one too.

Here it is open.

I think it is so cute!

Another Visitor

I have a new friend that has been visiting daily.  He flies over the fence and sits right at my door in my scrapbook room.  He paces back and forth pecking at the glass.  When I let the dogs out I have to go and get him off the deck.  It is kind of funny.  His mate is up in the barn setting on her eggs so I guess he just wants some company.  He does seem to be vocal out there.
He is a Guinea fowl, I say they are a prehistoric Turkey.  At least that is what they look like to me.  They make the oddest sound too.  Nothing like any of our other chickens anyway.

Hope your Easter was a fun one!

With 3 G-kids Easter is always fun.  The get so excited!  My oldest just turned 13 and so she hid all the eggs.  That was fun in its self.  I even found one of the eggs today when I went for my Dr. appt.  it was hidden behind the door handle.  Who would have thought to look there.  LOL!

I made a recipe from Pinterest using a muffin tin and bacon.  I placed the bacon in the muffin tin first and baked it at 350 for 15min then added an egg mixture of eggs, milk, and shredded mozzarella cheese and poured it into the center of the bacon wrap in the tin and baked it another 15min

I love how they turned out.  They looked like little roses.  They tasted pretty good.  The adults also got Champagne with pomegranate juice.  Yumm!

Not to much candy, this year they got money it there plastic eggs.  They loved that.
