Victorian Tea Light Lantern Box

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...I just have to share this.  I have been thinking about making these Lantern Boxes for a long time now.  When I was looking for something else I came across my stach of velum.  I pulled out this Rose velum and right away I knew what I was going to do with it.
I order a velum pack from QVC about 10 years ago and I think this was one of them.  Who knows after that long but I am using it now.
I was feeling very girly and this is what I came up with.  I made all the layers in my Gypsy so I can make lots of them.  No more Rose velum though but lot of other ones.

I think the tag is so cute too.

Here it is in the dark with the Tea Light lit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking a look.   These would make great Mother's Day gifts don't you think?
You can see more things I have made using Tea Lights here.

All products used are Close To My Heart except the velum piece.

I used the Art Philosophy and the Artiste Cartridge to make it all.  I love every cut they make.  I keep saying "my Cricut does the work and I take all the credit" I love that I can tell it to auto fill a page a 12 x12 sheet of cardstock and it calculates how many it can put on it.  Works for me!!!
Order your Art Philosophy and Artiste Cartridge here.

I might have to make a youtube video for this one.  Leave me a comment if you would like to see that.

  1. Your Lantern box is beautiful. I love all the detail put into it. I would love to see a video. Did you make the rose out of vellum or was it a pre-made rose?

    Love it,

    1. Thanks Sandra,
I will be making a video soon. The roses are cut out with the Art Philosophy cartridge in cardstock and sponged. They are really easy to make with our new Quilling tool from CTMH. I use some of the Roxie, Baby Pink, and Ruby cardstock from CTMH too.
